Sunday Services

Saturday Evening Eucharist

  • 5:30 pm Holy Eucharist, Rite II, in Crowell Chapel

This is an early Sunday Service. It includes the same collects and reading to be used the next day. This is a quiet and
spoken service. Occasionally three hymns are sung. This service has a sermon and communion each week, and is usually about 50 to 60 minutes long.

Sunday Worship Services at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

  • 8:00 am Holy Eucharist, Rite II, in Crowell Chapel

This is a simple service with organ music and three hymns (at the beginning, before the proclamation of the Gospel, and at the end). “Rite II” refers to the use of regular, everyday language in our worship. This service has a sermon and communion each week, and is usually about 50 to 60 minutes long. For special occasions, like Easter morning, we welcome the choir and we worship in the Church.

  • 10:00 am Holy Eucharist with choir, Rite II, in the Church

This is a more formal service (although you do not have to dress formally to participate!) This service has a sermon and music, including congregational singing of hymns, our great choir, organ, and other instruments on occasion. Parts of the worship service are sung, rather than spoken. On the second Sunday of the month we especially look forward to and plan for the presence and active participation of children and youth. This service
has a sermon and communion each week, usually 65 to 75 minutes long.
