Youth Mission Trip 2017 – Santa Fe!

Take a photo journey following the St. Luke’s Youth Group on their 2017 Mission Trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Join the group as they ready for their journey with a wonderful sendoff from the St. Luke’s family…then on to their first night at St. Thomas of Canterbury in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and then on to their week’s stay at Christ Lutheran Church in Santa Fe.

Check out all the activities these amazing youth packed into a week!

Community work in Santa Fe… the Food Depot, a local food bank, where they sorted 800 lbs of grapefruits and 560 lbs of beans…then on to Casa Familia, a women’s and family shelter where they cleaned and painted…then on to the Community Farm.  These amazing youth accomplished wonderful community service during their week.

And, they did some sightseeing in Santa Fe, including the Loretto Chapel, the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, Chimayo, the Santa Fe Plaza…and a number of beautiful local parks.

They had some time for fun… ice cream socials, ice skating, swimming, fellowship.

And fellowship at meal times…

Times of worship, reflection, sharing, journaling.

Fr. Pierre-Henry and Sophie Buisson expressed their awe at how hard the youth willingly worked, shared in leading worship, shared insights…and grew…during this amazing week.

Welcome home, and thank you for allowing us to share in your journey through these photos.
